Michael James Bowers, 52, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 20, 2022, in the early afternoon.
Michael was born on March 24, 1969, the son of Lowell A. Bowers Jr. and Kathryn R. Bowers of Ansonia, Ohio.
Michael is proceeded in death by his brother-in-law, Gary Gebers, of Eldorado, Ohio; his uncle, Ron Bowers Sr., his niece, Courtney Nelson, and his biological father, James Schneider.
He was a father, husband, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Michael grew up and went to Ansonia schools. He was a proud member of the Boots and Saddles 4-H club, showing horses with his brother Jimmy. He loved being around his family, especially any chance he got to spend with his wife and children; they meant the world to him. He enjoyed being able to take his children, along with any nieces and nephews, to the local skating rinks when they were younger. He was also an active skater himself.
Driving a "big truck" was his calling. He loved traveling across the country and never minded hard work. You could never keep him in one place for very long. He was always looking to collect older vehicles and trying to fix them up. He also collected model airplanes and helicopters and enjoyed sitting in his man-cave to build them and put them on display. Although he enjoyed driving a big truck, his favorite choice of transportation was his 1988 and 1989 Goldwings.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his wife of almost 15 years, Debbie S. Bowers of Cincinnati, Ohio; his three children; Adam Bowers, Jessica (Patrick) Lockhart, and Ashley (James) Hannan, all from Greenville, Ohio; his granddaughters, Tessa (Bowers) McClure and Macie Hannan; his sister, Michelle M. Gebers of Eldorado; and three brothers, James R. Bowers, David W. (Diana) Bowers, and Richard A. (April) Bowers all of Ansonia. He is also survived by his step-children, Shelly (Derek) Ehrhard and Christopher Iles of Cincinnati; his step-grandchildren, Christopher, Quinten, Lily, Devin, Bruce, and Rose Ehrhard; his sister-in-law, Jackie (Steve) Hankins from Cincinnati; his beloved nieces and nephews, Brandy (Terry) Daily, Katie (Daniel) Meiners, Danielle (Chris) Hughes, Kazz Bowers, Nathan (Ally) Hankins, Joshua Pottenger, Cheyenna (Jeff) Stephan, Caitlyn (Larry) Blowers, Caleb Bowers, Taylor Bowers, Sierra Bowers, Brianna Bowers, and Addalynn Bowers; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
