Nancy Jane Rexrode

We celebrate the life of Nancy Jane Rexrode, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend who passed away on May 12, 2026.

"Fancy Nancy" brought joy, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her greatest pride was her children and grandchildren. She found happiness in life's simple moments-family dinners, holidays, Legion events, friendships. She especially enjoyed cooking, music, singing, and spending time with the grand and great-grandchildren. Nancy dedicated 33 years to FRAM as a painter before her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 245.

Nancy's legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 60 years, Ron Rexrode and mother Eileen Hangen.She is survived, loved, and greatly missed by her children, Shelly Rexrode/Burns, Scott (Rhonda) Rexrode, and Greg Rexrode; Kris Burns (father and grandfather of the Burns, Lawrence, Brewer family); grandchildren, Kaleb (Maegan) Rexrode, Kody Burns, Lindsay (Scott) Lawrence, Mattie (Chris) Brewer; great grandchildren, Liam and Lane Rexrode, Kaden Burns, Leah, Cassius and Bo Lawrence, Grady, Annie and Hazel Brewer; and brother, Gary (Rhonda Rae) Hangen; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 245 or Everheart Hospice, Greenville. 

A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.

A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12:00 PM on Saturday with David Flatter officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison.
