Penny Jo Strawser

Penny Jo Strawser, age 70, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Everheart Hospice Care Center.

She was born on October 5, 1955 in Greenville to the late Jack L. Linder and Shirley E. (Ross) Linder.

In addition to her mom, Shirley Linder, Penny is survived by her loving husband, Michael E. Strawser, whom she married on December 6, 1975; her children, Cody (Andrea) Strawser of Greenville, Casey (Brent) Spille of Springboro, OH, and Chase Strawser of Greenville; grandchildren, Alexis Strawser, CJ Strawser, Morgan Spille, and McKinley Spille; siblings, Peggy (Chris) Rehmert of Greenville, Pam Ravn of Canal Winchester, OH, and Patty (Daniel) Klosterman of Greenville; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Penny was a proud graduate of Greenville High School and later retired from the City of Greenville Auditor's Office after many years of dedicated service. She found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life: tending to her garden, cooking and baking for those she loved, quilting, and traveling on vacations across the country.

While she had many interests, nothing meant more to Penny than her family. The time she spent with them created memories that will be cherished for years to come.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Penny’s caregivers for their love and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice or ALS United Ohio.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
