Ralph E. Locke

Ralph E. Locke, 80, of Greenville, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 26, 2011 at Heartland of Greenville. He was born August 3, 1930 in Delisle, OH, son of the late Chalmer and Nellie (West) Locke. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie S. Waldon on December 28, 2009, and a brother, Travis Locke. Ralph was retired from Westinghouse/A.O.Smith in Union City. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Velma (Baxter) Locke whom he married February 17, 1957; daughters, Kathy (Bob) Brandon of Greenville, and Joy Burke of Indiana; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Whitney, Branson, Ricci, Jimini, Rielea, Alex, Jessica Locke, Chelsea Gallatin, and Amy Marshall Lopez; great grandchildren, Kaysy and Layla Mangen , Veronica, Jacob, Marisol, Emily, and Efrain Lopez; and his "best friend" of 17 years, his dog, BeBee.  Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 2 at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m.
