Ronald Armstrong

Ronald "Ron" Armstrong, age 79, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, at his home. 

He was born on June 27, 1947, in Union City, Indiana, to the late Roy Armstrong and Olive (Larison) Oswalt. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his stepfathers, Harry Trushel and Carrol "Hap" Oswalt; his infant brothers, Donald Yoder and Timmy Armstrong; his sister, Alice "Tudy" (Gary) Charles; and his brothers-in-law, Larry Couch and Stephan Paslawskyj. 

Ron is survived by his wife of 34 years, Vicki (Bradley) Armstrong, whom he married on August 3, 1991; his children, Joe (Genie) Armstrong of Sunbury, Ohio, Christina (Jeremy) Hoffman of Ansonia, and Jenni (Gary) Garland of Greenville; his grandchildren, Bailey (Jack) Brown, Collin (Danielle) Armstrong, Drew (Taylor) Armstrong, Kylie Johnson, Dillon Johnson, Korey (Lauren) Garland, and Ethan ( Savanna Sabroff) Garland; his great grandchildren, Karter Garland, Dalton Brown, Kaden Garland, Morgan Armstrong, Natalie Armstrong, and one on the way; his siblings, Carolyn Couch of Union City, Indiana, Mary (Barry) Rodeheffer of Union City, Ohio, and Debra Evans of Union City, Ohio; his in-laws, Mary Ann Paslawskyj of Maryland, James Bradley of New Madison, and Thomas (Patty) Beck of South Dakota; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Ron was a graduate of Mississinawa Valley High School. He dedicated his career to the mold-making industry, working as a certified mold maker for many years before retiring from Omega in Winchester, Indiana  in 2012. Throughout his career, he was also employed by Hobart Brothers, Sherman Armstrong Mold, and Darke Precision. Ron was a faithful member of Reverent Church and loved his Lord and Savior.

Ron and his wife, Vicki, shared a passion for travel, exploring 46 states together and creating countless memories along the way. He found great joy working around the family farm, collecting tools, spending time outdoors, and escaping the Ohio winters in sunny Florida.

A celebration of Ron's life is being planned for a future date.
