Roxane Hammer

Roxane Hammer, age 69, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio.

She was born on June 5, 1956, in Indiana, to the late William Crouse and Betty Skiver.

In addition to her parents, Roxane was preceded in death by her children, Laurie Spurlock and Steven Hammer, Jr.

Roxane is survived by her son, William Hammer of Sidney, Ohio; her daughter-in-law, Christy Sroka of Parma Heights, Ohio; her grandchildren, Destany (Brandon Stone) Myers; Devin Myers, Ryan Hammer, Duncan Spurlock, Lorissa Spurlock, Ethan Hammer, Gage Hammer, and Aiden Ventz-Hammer; her great grandson, Carter Myers; and her siblings, Kenneth (Barb) Rex, Carletta Riser, Tonya (Matt) Fleetwood, and Sabrina Runkle.

Roxane served as an Animal Control Officer in Darke County for more than 20 years before retiring. She had a deep love for animals and was dedicated to their care and well-being throughout her career. Roxane was also a member of the Darke County Animal Shelter. In her free time, she enjoyed watching soap operas and cartoons, and especially taking Sunday car rides. Fall was her favorite season, and she eagerly looked forward to celebrating Halloween each year.

Per Roxane's request, there will be no services.

In honor of Roxane, memorial contributions may be given to the Darke County Animal Shelter.
