Russell Gene Case

Russell Gene Case, age 63, of Gettysburg, Ohio, passed away on October 15, 2026, at Hospice in Troy, Ohio.

Russell was born on October 29, 1962, to the late Robert and Delores (Fitzgerald) Case.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kevin St. Myers and his grandchild Jayden.

Russell is survived by his children, Holley St. Myers of Union City, Ohio; Katie (Chris) Shaneyfelt of Union City, Ohio; and Kellie (Fernando Robles) Case of Greenville, Ohio. He is also survived by his siblings, Pearl (Steve) Bucklew of Gettysburg, Ohio; Louie Case; Roberta (Jim) Archey of Versailles, Ohio; and Albert (Glenda) Case of Greenville, Ohio.

Russell was a proud grandfather to Alexis St. Myers, Owen St. Myers, Carson Shaneyfelt, Nevaeh Shaneyfelt, Aydreyn York, Jordan Shaneyfelt, and Elena Robles. He was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Roslyn Charles. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Russell graduated from Greenville High School and went on to become a handyman and a true jack of all trades. If something was broken, Russell was the person you called to fix it. He had a knack for figuring things out and was always busy working on something.

Russell had a passion for his Mustang and his motorcycle, enjoying the freedom and adventure that came with them. More than anything, he loved his family. He was especially good with his grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.

A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Albert Case officiating.
