Shirley M. Colvin, 88, of Galloway, Ohio, formerly of Greenville, passed away on August 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home.
She was born on September 22, 1936, in Bradford, to the late George R. and Dorothy J. (Rexrode) Broughman.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Colvin and her brothers, James D. Broughman and George R. Broughman.
Shirley is survived by her children, Debra J. (Marker) Anderson and significant other Donald Wolfal, Sharon L. (Marker) Cooper and husband Michael, David J. Colvin and wife Mary, Kathleen A. (Colvin) Welby and husband David; her grandchildren, Emily Colvin, Ashley Colvin, April Vansel, Nicole Burgess, Stephanie Wallace, Michael Ginger, Christopher Anderson, Myia Williams Miller, Leighann Williams Sexton, and Robbie Williams; her 14 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and favorable mention, John Gigliotti.
She was a long time resident of Greenville but moved to Galloway in September of 2022. Shirley became a member of the Columbus/Grove City Elks, where everybody called her "Mom". She attended First Assembly of God in Greenville most of her life where Pastor Dale Boeger officiates. Upon moving to Columbus, most recently she attended West Side Christian Church where Pastor Doug McCoy officiates.
Shirley was a high school graduate of Bradford. Throughout the years, she worked as a church treasurer, at the library, and as a union rep for the AFL-CIO of America. Along with her dedication to serving her community, Shirley was dedicated to raising her children, and greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, especially after retirement. Shirley always surrounded herself with those closest to her. She had a camper at Lake Erie where she enjoyed fishing. Shirley was an avid collector of anything and everything lighthouses. She vacationed every chance she got and enjoyed a good cruise.
Memorial Contributions may be made to First Assembly of God, Greenville or West Side Christian Church, Columbus.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Tribute Funeral Homes, 1000 N. Broadway St., Greenville, Ohio 45331.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 11, 2025 at First Assembly of God, 7219 OH-118, Greenville, OH 45331 with Pastor Dale Boeger and Pastor Doug McCoy. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
