Vickie Lee (Sneary) Martin was born on November 4, 1946 in Greenville, Ohio to Leonard Jr and Margaret Sneary. Vickie graduated from Greenville City Schools in 1964 where she met and went on to marry her high school sweetheart, William (Bill) Martin, on August 14, 1964. Vickie had driven bus for Greenville City schools for 30 years when she retired. She loved the Great Darke County Fair. Her 'corner' in the basement of the coliseum was a meeting place for family and friends for roughly 40 years. She loved to sew. She made many teddy bears and repaired lots of clothes over the years. She was a really good cook and loved to preserve fresh foods. Her family always looked forward to Sunday dinners and couldn't wait for her pumpkin bread and buckeyes at the holidays. In the spring you could find her hunting mushrooms. Vickie was a giving person. She would spend more time helping others than helping herself. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Martin; and her in-laws, Charles Rummel and Joe and Becky Martin. Survivors include her loving husband, Bill Martin; her children, Melissa (Rick) Brawley and Jeff (Mandy) Martin, all of Greenville; grandchildren, Tiffany (Andrew) Martin, Chelsea (Travis) Jeffers, Austen Martin, Ashley Martin, Alex Martin, and Trevar Martin; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Levi, and Tytus Martin, Cade and Oakley Jeffers, and Arabella Rogers; step-grandchildren, Rick (Breanna) Brawley and Monica Brawley; step-great-grandchildren, Delayna, Lana, and Leland Ryan, and Sam Brawley; sisters, Nancy Rummel, Suzanne Farmer, and Cindy (Tim Harless) Austen; in-laws, Larry Martin and Jane (Albert) Weimer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses of Day City Hospice for their compassionate care and for making Vickie's final days as comfortable as possible. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Day City Hospice. A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville.
