Violet “Vi” Ann Klackner, age 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on May 23, 1950, in Gary, Indiana to the late Alva “Al” W. Bonar and Devota E. (Hile) Inman.
In addition to her parents, Vi was preceded in death by 1 brother and 1 sister.
Vi is survived by her children, Eric (Lindsey) Burns of New Madison and Mendi Burns of Greenville; her stepson, Matthew Klackner of Greenville; her grandchildren, Brittani Trent, Sarah (Matt) Silva, Jodee Burns, Noah (Kara) Burns, Aidyn Wilt, and Mekenna Anderson; her 8 great grandchildren; her special friends, Lucreda Brandt and Scott Wilt; and her 3 brothers and 8 sisters.
Vi was a proud graduate of Westmont High School, class of 1968. For 35 years, she dedicated herself to her work in the shipping department at FRAM and made many friends along the way. After retiring, she kept busy with her many passions, including her beloved role as a grandmother.
As a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge 329 and the Greenville American Legion, Post 140, Vi was known for her warm spirit and love for people. She earned the nickname "the Coke Lady" for her passion for Coca-Cola, famously collecting memorabilia that she cherished.
Vi had a genuine love for motorcycles, particularly Harley Davidson. Whether she was riding down the open road or cheering on racers from the sidelines, motorcycles were a staple of her vibrant life. An avid Amazon shopper and enthusiastic scrapbooker, Vi filled her home with memories and keepsakes that reflected her lively personality.
A celebration of Vi’s life will be held at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus.
Guests may visit with her family on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the start of the service at 7:00 PM.
