Wanda Joyce Brown, age 76, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born on October 8, 1948, in Mexico, Missouri, to the late George and Deveda (Lincoln) Willingham.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Kenneth Brown, whom she married on May 13, 2006; her children, Melissa (Trisha) Johnson of Ponta Vedra, Florida, Dawn (Matt) Harrison of Hollansburg, Linda Bulmer of Hollansburg, Kenny Lee Brown of Wayne Lakes, Kelly (Marilyn) Brown of Portland, Indiana, and Kristyn Brown Sloan and her fiancé, Brian Townsend, of Greenville; her 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; her siblings, Deveda Richards of Hollansburg and Lloyd Willingham of Hollansburg; her in-laws, Rick Brown of Piqua, Shirley Brown of Greenville, and Ted Brown of Wayne Lakes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wanda was preceded in death by 4 grandchildren; her brother, Gary Willingham; her brother-in-law, Steve Richards; and in-laws, Rhonda Brown, Herbert Brown, and Robert Brown (infant).
Wanda graduated from Westmont High School in Hollansburg in 1967. Wanda spent many years working in various factories, ultimately retiring from Visteon Ford in Connersville, Indiana. After her retirement, Wanda worked at Walmart in Greenville in the jewelry department, where she enjoyed meeting new people and serving her community. Wanda owned Burnt Wicks Candle, where she made and sold candles for many years.
Outside of her work life, Wanda had a passion for family. She loved to plan holiday dinners that brought everyone together. She looked forward to spending time camping with her husband, and was a regular at bingo nights, where she enjoyed the company of friends and fellow players.
Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Hollansburg Christian Church.
Guests may visit with her family on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Alzheimer’s Association or Top Priority Veterans.
